IRENA Invites You to Join New ‘IRENA Community’
Abu Dhabi, UAE, 2014: The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) has launched a new online forum named the ‘IRENA Community’. Offering any member of the public with an interest in renewables the opportunity to directly engage with the Agency, the IRENA Community is a forum for discussion on topics ranging from renewable energy finance, policy, economics, education, careers, technology and sustainability.
“Whether you’re a student or professional or someone who just wants to make a difference, the IRENA Community is set to become an important platform for collaboration in the renewable energy space,” said Timothy Hurst, Chief Communications Officer, IRENA. “This is an exciting opportunity for individuals to share ideas and engage in critical discussions about renewable energy. We hope that online discussions will lead to real world action.”
With areas for discussing specific topics of interest such as renewable energy resource assessments and renewable energy costs, the IRENA Community also allows users to find ‘friends’ and build their networks, just like Facebook.
Find the ‘IRENA Community’ at: www.irena.org/community. Users must register and create an account to contribute content.
