Since our first conference in 1975 and through its growth into a Europe-wide conference held biennially since 1985, we have been passionate about bringing together the leading experts and researchers to provide our delegates with stimulating programmes that address the latest developments in the sector.
Our partnerships with international organisations including the United Nations – UNEP, International Institute of Refrigeration IIR, TERRE Policy Centre India and the Association of Refrigeration Technicians (IT) are testimony to the importance which leading organisations place on our events.
These events are popular not only for the quality of research they present but also for the opportunity they offer delegates to share knowledge and best practice whilst developing important industry connections.
After the highly successful 2009 international conference which launched the Green New Deal in India, 2011 marked the first time our biennial European conference came to the UK.
As the growth of the British market gathered pace we announced the first sitting of our 14th European Conference at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh.
This conference tackled the topic of Renewable Energy in Heating and Cooling and the findings from this event were taken forward to the second sitting which took place in Milan.
The European Energy Centre is always active in organising Renewable Energy conferences, seminars and Round Tables in co-operation with leading universities and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
Over 5000 participants each year attend over 300 professional training courses at 21 universities worldwide.
Participants include major authorities and organisations, such as the United Nations, Coca Cola, Siemens and Ford Motor Company.
